Wardrobe Diaries: Coral and Cognac

I love visiting the playground with my girls and this weekend they had the pleasure of having dad there  with them. It's not often we get to visit the playground as a family and on rare occasions that we do, it makes it all the more special. Actually being a soldier, my husband isn't around for much of anything. He's missed both my pregnancies and the first three months of life for both daughters. He's missed our older daughter's first birthday and he'll probably miss our second daughter's too. We've been together now for six years and he hasn't been home once for his own birthday. He works 15 hour days, seven days a week when he's deployed and when Stateside he gets up at 5am everyday no complaints. I am constantly amazed by the dedication of all soldiers and the strength of their family.

This outfit was perfect for chasing after the kids. It's bright and cheery, comfortable and lightweight, and best of all, machine washable! See previous post with these coral shorts here and lace top here. I've been searching for a pair of sandals like these since forever. I couldn't believe my luck when I found a pair sitting on the shelf at T.J. Maxx and in my size too! The ankle strap is in a clever light tan colour so visually it doesn't slice your leg in half. Best thing is, I only paid $15 for them.

Hope everyone had a great weekend. xx

I'm sad to hear your husband can't always be around for the special moments. at least you get to appreciate those times when you're both there with your gorgeous children :) your outfit is so perfect for a day in the park, love the buttons design on the back of your top!

thanks for leaving the lovely comment on my blog btw. sorry for the late reply- but no this was not Docklands in Melbourne. It was Sydney, which is pretty familiar to Melbs :)

Perfect outfit - it's so chic but casual enough for the playground and is easy to move/walk in. Love it! And I admire you and your family for staying strong with a military husband - my brother in law just deployed to Germany for 3 years, and I can only imagine the discipline and dedication it takes for a family to go through that together!

First of all, thank you and thank you to your husband for your sacrifices and service. My fiance is in the Air Force reserves. He is being deployed to the Middle East after our wedding this year. I am very nervous.

I love your family pictures. They are so fun and happy and smiley.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I really appreciate your comment!

Look at you with all those kids and still being fashionably adorable. Get out of town...you're living the mom dream right now. I only have myself to look over and most days I can't wake up in time to take a shower before work.

Mom of the year award!
