I love visiting the playground with my girls and this weekend they had the pleasure of having dad there with them. It's not often we get to visit the playground as a family and on rare occasions that we do, it makes it all the more special. Actually being a soldier, my husband isn't around for much of anything. He's missed both my pregnancies and the first three months of life for both daughters. He's missed our older daughter's first birthday and he'll probably miss our second daughter's too. We've been together now for six years and he hasn't been home once for his own birthday. He works 15 hour days, seven days a week when he's deployed and when Stateside he gets up at 5am everyday no complaints. I am constantly amazed by the dedication of all soldiers and the strength of their family.

I couldn't believe my luck when I found a pair sitting on the shelf at T.J. Maxx and in my size too! The ankle strap is in a clever light tan colour so visually it doesn't slice your leg in half. Best thing is, I only paid $15 for them.
