And I'm back!

It's so good to be back. This past week has been the longest break I've taken away from the blog ever since I first started {camo meets couture} some 6 months ago. As entitled as it sounds, living without internet has been excruciating (3g on tiny iPhone screens don't count right?). It's amazing how seamlessly integrated technology is with everyday life. Meanwhile, I've been eagerly counting down these past few days till I get to watch my favourite shows, read my favourite blogs and browse my favourite (online) stores again. As disoriented as I've been, some good has actually come out of being "disconnected". For instance, I've found myself a lot more productive and inspired in the kitchen. I've even finalised a few mock-ups for {camo meets couture} business cards. Although why a blog would need business cards is still beyond me, but hey all the cool kids are doing it. I'm also proud to announce that I've finally made my very first ebay purchase. I may still be an ebay rookie since my sister did all of my bidding but that's not the point. The important thing is that I now have a new pair of Karen Walker sunnies to add to my collection! Here's a peek at some of the new content I've been busy working on during my little involuntary break.

I've been wanting to make business cards just so I could hand them out in my town. Sometimes people will complement me on my outfit and I don't have anything to hand them with my blog name on it. What is that floating in the tea cup? So cute!!

hey jenee! i missed you and welcome back!!! my desktop died once and i was so lost without it. hahaha when you blog, you truly miss talking to your blog "buddies" and seeing what they are up to. on the opposite side (and as you mentioned) it does leave time for LOTS of other things. your creativity in the kitchen is impeccable! i love that you pay attention to details. congratulations on your first eBay purchase! i use to be so scared of that site, but now i sell and buy from them. you can really get some GREAT deals and save money. so good for you! do you know I almost purchased that book? right before i did, several of my readers gave it scathing reviews. i was so surprised. it's ashame the content was not to par. that's her NAME she's destroying. so not good! wishing you a delightful day :)

Welcome back!! I can't wait to see the Karen Walker sunglasses- OMG congrats on your first ebay purchase! Jenee, let me tell you, I've been ebaying since I was in high school, when we only had dial-up internet and I would stay up late at night on the computer and wait for like 5 minutes for each page to load! it's a wonder that I ever won anything! I'm a huge ebay fan (and enemy sometimes, too!) And that bear design in your coffee is amazing- did you do that? Or your talented sister??

Welcome back! :) As always, I'm loving the pictures. And OMG, I cannot believe you just barely made your first purchase on ebay...that's crazy! I can't imagine life without it...I mean, I'm not addicted or anything (I've barely made under 100 purchases in the 12 years that I've been a member). You score a lot of awesome deals though...I'm sure it'll quickly become your go-to shopping site :)

oh, I understand it as well... I'm so sorry that sometimes I seem to disappear here: no comments, any new posts... I take my blogging very seriously too but I travel a lot and high-speed internet is often a rarity, as you said :(
I'm very curious of your new sunglasses!
