Wardrobe Diaries: Preppy Pink Goes Shopping

This last weekend was spent dancing with the kids, catching up on sleep and restocking the fridge. I always enjoy a supermarket outing with my girls, the way their eyes light up at all the different sounds, smell and colours. My entire ensemble here minus the bag and shoes are from J.Crew. This denim jacket I recently picked up has since become a wardrobe staple. I wear it dressed up or dressed down or just simply around the house when it gets chilly. It's funny because I haven't worn a denim jacket since sometime in the 90's and now I can't get enough. Hope everyone else had a fab weekend.

WANTED: WARDROBE

Edited by: Sonia of In Pursuit of Style
Something about the change in weather that makes me want bright colors, fabulous new clothes and fancy new shoes. This happens every year, as excitement builds with peep toes, sleeveless tops and flowing skirts aplenty. I’ve been feeling uninspired lately, but this week’s blogger submissions have me excited again. We have some showing us how to make old things new again, trends in different iterations and best of all, at a great price! Maybe I can go out a buy that new wardrobe after all…

Friday's Fancies... Mother's Day Edition

Continuing on with the theme of Mother's Day I thought I'd dedicate this week's Friday's Fancies to the two sweetest little monsters to have graced my life and made it oh so eventful.

It's amazing how we all start out the same way- tiny, pink, swollen, and screaming for dear life.

Flaunting my belly, yes I contemplated whether I should share this photo or not. I was known for not hiding under loose tops and baggy pants during my pregnancies.

Sweet smiles from my little girls make all the sleepless nights and endless cleaning worth it.

My mum bought me this Tiffany & Co. pave ring to celebrate my passage into motherhood. I wear it on my pinkie as a constant reminder to set a good example for my girls.

On my mind... Mother's Day Afternoon Tea

Mother's Day is fast approaching. I can't think of a better way to spend it than sleeping in till noon then being whisked off to afternoon tea in a fancy hotel. It's always such a treat to go out for afternoon tea, I do believe one should dress for the occasion. This peplum top paired with the red maxi is just dressy enough for daytime wear. How adorable is this Alexander McQueen skull clutch? Dear husband if you are reading this, I would one in every colour please.

Wardrobe Diaries: A date at the range

As an early Mother's Day present this year my husband went the unconventional route and bought me a pistol. I guess that's what happens when you marry a soldier. We went to the range on the weekend, him with his gun and me with my new 9mm Springfield XDM Compact. This outfit was perfect for the occasion, comfortable, casual and most importantly black coloured. All those Hollywood action films make shooting look way too easy.
